Programa estratégico de biodiversidad 2015-2020. BIOCAF

El presente documento presenta el Programa Estratégico de Biodiversidad BIOCAF 2015-2020, liderado por la Unidad de Negocios Verdes, el cual busca apoyar a los países miembros de CAF en la implementación de acciones que aporten en el cumplimiento de las metas Aichi. Se compone de tres secciones: la primera sección, presenta los aspectos generales de los antecedentes de la estrategia y el contexto de la situación de la biodiversidad en América Latina y el Caribe, presentando las nuevas tendencias del mercado de los productos basados en la biodiversidad, así como la relación de la sociedad y los recursos biológicos, y el cambio climático, los servicios ecosistémicos y la biodiversidad. La segunda sección describe el Plan estratégico de biodiversidad de CAF, mostrando el contexto institucional en el cual se elabora el plan estratégico, la visión y las estrategias de intervención, así como el detalle de las cuatro prioridades de acción para el 2015-2020, y su relación con las Metas Aichi. Finalmente, la tercera sección muestra los lineamientos del sistema de monitoreo a la estrategia, con los indicadores desarrollados para cada acción, así como el seguimiento que se realizará al avance de los países, en el cumplimiento de las metas de sus estrategias de biodiversidad.
This document presents the Strategic Program for Biodiversity, BIOCAF 2015-2020, led by Green Business Unit, which seeks to support CAF member countries in the implementation of actions that contribute to the fulfillment of the Aichi targets. It consists of three sections: the first section presents the general aspects of the background to the strategy and the context of the state of biodiversity in Latin America and the Caribbean, presenting the new market trends of products based on biodiversity, as well as the relationship of society to biological resources, climate change, ecosystem services and biodiversity. The second section describes the CAF Strategic Biodiversity Plan, showing the institutional context in which are made the strategic plan, the vision and the intervention strategies, as well as details of the four action priorities for 2015-2020, and their relationship with the Aichi targets. Finally, the third section presents the guidelines of the system for monitoring the strategy, with indicators developed for each action, as well as monitoring of the progress of the countries in fulfilling the goals of their biodiversity strategies.
